Be an Inspiration to those around you, but above all, to yourself

I walked and then I ran and then I ran more and I didn’t stop running. I felt like Forest Gump up and down the hills in Nuevo Arenal, Costa Rica. I felt like I was flying, all my muscles light and strong and I remembered that I once had a fear of running because it was too hard. Now it was easy, it was liberating, it was empowering.

You just have to start. It doesn’t matter if you just run five minutes or ten, but you did it. That feeling of accomplishment is what will drive you the next day to try some squats, and the next, a dance class and the next to not be able to live without moving your body because it feels so goddamn good. I didn’t get here in one day, nor a month, nor a year. But from continuous training, through the years, on both days that I wanted and days that I didn’t want to, in hot Texan weather, in cold Amsterdam weather. And all types of training: weights, high intensity, cardio, yoga, dancing. The more ways you move, the stronger and more able you become. The stronger you become the prouder you are of yourself, the more confident you will march through life, the more you will love yourself and everyone around you. Movement is so much more than just losing weight. Movement is endorphins, confidence, love, empowerment, enjoying life, being grateful of our bodies. Movement is being alive.

PERSONAL TRAINING

Personal training is a great way to get better in touch with your body: to understand it, to improve it and to take it to its maximum potential.

You determine what the goal of your personal training journey is. However, this journey will always be fluid rather than non-changing. As you improve we will add on harder challenges that will continuously make you step out of your comfort zone.

During this journey we find what styles of training are best suited to your needs and likes. These can be chosen from the class styles that I teach but I can also include calisthenics, weight training, stabilisation, mobility and kickboxing. I work with as varied material as possible: weights, bars, balls, bands, TRX, bodyweight skills, etc.

I believe that movement allows the body and mind to remain awake to the endless possibilities of life.

about

MY PHILOSOPHY

My mission is to inspire people to feel strong and self-confident.

Strength is the surprise you get when you are able to do a completely new exercise without ever having trained for it. It’s when you go for a 10k run and you feel liberated and freedom in each step. Strength is what will allow you to leave the chocolate bar in the store, uneaten. Strength gives you the balls to say no when someone asks you to do something that you, deep down, don’t want to do. To be strong and self-confident is standing firmly on your own two feet, daring to say what you feel and believing that you can achieve your dreams.

“While I started working out with Zoe for a knee injury, she ultimately transformed my approach to exercise. For the past six months, I’ve built my week around our 1:1 sessions and her classes. She’s an insightful, fun, and creative trainer who’s both taught me how to get more out of my workouts and motivated me to do them more.”

“My fiance and I started training with Zoë in the lead up to our wedding. We immediately noticed results. Not only did we become stronger, but our awareness of proper technique vastly improved. Her workouts are motivating and get right to the core of where improvement and focus is most needed. I would highly recommend training with Zoë to anyone looking to vastly improve their fitness level.”

”Remember Daft Punk’s song Harder Better Faster Stronger? Every line refers to Zoe’s personal training. She is determined to exhaust your body, in order to get you in perfect shape. The icing on the cake is that Zoe also trains and challenges your mindset, which gives me extra energy during the rest of my work-week. Be prepared for a intensive and tailor-made personal training.”
