About Me

Hi, I’m Zoë.
I’ve been helping people move better in Amsterdam for over 12 years, especially those who feel disconnected, guarded, or unsure in their own body.

Over time, my work naturally shifted toward helping people with:

  • postural issues
  • recurring injuries
  • long-term tension
  • fear of re-injury
  • and people who want to start again, properly

To support my clients more thoroughly, I returned to school to become a physiotherapist, combining clinical knowledge together with movement training.

Today, my work blends:

  • physiotherapy
  • strength training
  • Pilates
  • yoga
  • breathwork
  • Lifestyle coaching
  • Movement education

Every session is adapted to where you are right now because progression is not a straight line, but it ebbs and flows, with fluctuations and growth.

MY PHILOSOPHY

I believe that a strong body isn’t rigid, but adapts to change. It is not a building resisting the wind, but a flag made of strong cloth proudly dancing in it.

When your foundation is strong, you move through life more upright, grounded and confident.

Injuries don’t mean you’ve failed. They’re just our bodies’ signals, informing us that it needs attention, that something has to change.

Sometimes we can’t see the patterns anymore for ourselves and that’s where guidance can help. There is no shame in asking for support. Rebuilding trust in your body is a skill and it can be learned.

Ready to move with more confidence again?

WEIRD THINGS ABOUT ME:

  • I can’t watch a film without eating ice cream (or banana nice-cream!)
  • I’m addicted to waking up early.
  • I interned for President Obama reading the letters he received from children from all over the USA.
  • I have a chameleon accent: it changes depending with whom I am talking or in which country I’ve been living.

WHAT SPORTS HAVE I DONE THROUGHOUT MY LIFE?

I started with ballet but after my feet operation at 17, I switched to tennis. When I was 16 I joined the gym, falling in love with spinning and step (or rather, my very hot Brazilian step instructor). At university, my first year I danced modern and Bollywood, my second I did boxing and my third I re- entered the gym for group classes and to start to train alone. My fourth year I moved to Edinburgh and joined both a gym and a spinning studio. I had my first personal trainer during this time, who taught me to do a proper push up and pull up. In Holland, I became the ever-present spinning student. From then it evolved to weight training, yoga, calisthenics, barre, pilates, reformers and now I’m finding a balance between calisthenics, weight training and high intensity workouts.
